Corned Beef & Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients:
4 lb Corned beef brisket
1 tbsp garlic powder & oregano
1 onion , peeled and halved
8 potatoes
6 carrots
1 tbsp salt and pepper
1 head of cabbage
water
Instructions:
In a large Stock pot place Corned Beef, garlic, onion oregano salt and pepper. Fill Pot with water to cover everything. Bring to a boil and cook on medium for 20 minutes. Skim off any residue that floats to the top of the water. Reduce heat and simmer for 2- 3 hrs or until meat can be pulled apart with a fork. When the meat is done add Potatoes, carrots, and Cabbage pressing them down into the water. Simmer for another 15-20 minutes or until the veggies are tender. Continue to skim off any oil that comes to the surface. Remove pot from the heat and remove meat veggies and cabbage, let meat rest for about 10 minutes then serve. Spoon juices over meat and cabbage.
