Beer Can Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
4 pound whole chicken
2 tbsp canola oil
salt pepper
Your Favorite spice rub or make your own
1 12oz can of beer
Instructions:
Remove neck & giblets from chicken if not already removed. Rinse chicken under cold water inside and out and pat dry with towel. Rub chicken with oil then rub spice rub or dry dry rub salt and pepper over chicken both inside and out set aside. Next Poor out or drink half of the beer and add some spice rub to the beer as well. put the the beer can on a flat surface. Grab the chicken by the legs and put the bird over the beer can so that the bird cavity cover the beer can. Carefully transfer bird and beer can over the the grill. Place the bird on the center of the grill balancing the bird on its 2 legs and the beer can. Finally cook the chicken on medium high heat indirectly. cover the grill and cook for 1 hr 15 minutes or until chicken reaches 165* F in the breast area 180* in the thigh. Remove from grill and let rest covered for 10 minutes before serving.
